Who Can Apply

The residency is open to artists, writers, musicians, and other creative professionals who seek a dedicated space for artistic development.

Expectations from Residents

Residents are encouraged to engage with the local community through public talks, workshops, or collaborative projects. The goal is to create a meaningful cultural exchange between artists and Tongoy’s residents. As part of the residency, each participant must include an activity that involves the Tongoy community.

Frequency of the Residency

The residency runs during fall, winter, and spring, which are the low-tourist seasons in Tongoy. Specific dates are announced each year.

Infrastructure & Amenities

The residency offers a comfortable and inspiring space for artists. Facilities include various workspaces, accommodations, and communal areas to support creativity and relaxation.

● Workspaces : The entire house can be used as a workspace, including outdoor areas with ocean views. For artists requiring a studio-type space, there are workspaces available at the Cultural Center in Tongoy.

● Accommodation : Three bedrooms. There are two double beds and six single beds. Not all rooms have an ocean view.

● Bathrooms: Three bathrooms available for residents.

● Kitchen & Dining: Fully equipped shared kitchen and communal dining space.

● Common Areas: Living room, terrace, and outdoor seating areas for relaxation.

● Internet & Connectivity: High-speed WiFi for research and communication.

● Laundry Service: Access to laundry facilities for residents.

Nature & Environment

The house is located on the tip of the Tongoy peninsula, offering a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. The walking distance to the town and its beaches is a calm 20-minute walk. However, the house is also in front of a beautiful rocky area with a small beach, perfect for quiet reflection and inspiration.
